It would only work in Unix, then.  Are the man pages licensed in such a 
way as to allow their embedding in Monodoc?  That'd be easier, and it 
would look nicer.

The problem with having a man page provider is that, I think, every page 
needs to correspond to a page in the table of contents, and so that 
would require either having a list of man pages that Monodoc should 
display in the TOC, or it would need to display all man pages in the TOC.

Why doesn't it work now?  IIRC, the ECMA docs link between the docs with 
<a href="T:..."/>...

If I ever get my virtual file system browser finished, this would all be 
working already...  (it's never going to be finished)
