It's almost trivial to write an XSL transformation from our doc files to 
the other format (i.e. if you want it, try it).  The only trick is 
getting a list of XML files to combine into one big one, and one of the 
tools I'm going to check in soon is a shell script that does that.

I don't see a problem with having two ways to document assemblies...
