Thanks for the encouragement, it is coming along well.

Actually, I wouldn't have started if it had seemed too difficult, as I
am just getting started with Unix GUI programming. But I have six years
experience with client-side and server-side Java, which helps. It's just
a matter of learning the Gtk# and C# particulars, which I think I have
finally grasped enough to do this.

I'll yell if I get stuck. :-)
