[Mono-dev] Building from Source Fails with mcs: Command not found

I answered my own question by running 'file' on build.exe:

bld/mono/mono-4.0.0/runtime $ file ../mcs/class/lib/monolite/basic.exe
../mcs/class/lib/monolite/basic.exe: PE32 executable for MS Windows
(console) Intel 80386 32-bit Mono/.Net assembly

Is there a monolite for Linux?
