I know there are valid reasons to run mono on windows (such as mono development) but the OP didn't specify, and usually when somebody asks this question without saying why they want it, they're usually following some instructions on some free open source package that just says "install mono" assuming the user is on some kind of linux.
So the first response to Keedi's question is: Should you be trying to run mono on XP in the first place? Or is that a bad direction to go in order to accomplish what you want?
