[Mono-dev] Mono memory model

Hi all,
Can you please provide some pointers as to the Mono memory model?
Some info on the subject is found by Goggle, but I could not find one
definite and reliable source.
Questions:
* Is it ECMA standard memory model?
* Is it .NET memory model (and if yes then is it .NET 2.0 or something
else?)?
* Is it different for x86 and ARM?
* Some comparison and costs of volatile operations and Monitor operations?
