[Mono-dev] linux Serial Port

I am having the same problem. Would appreciate some help on how to give
myself permission to use that port. I also notice that a "serial" directory
is added to the /dev directory when I insert my USB -serial adapter. In that
directory are two directories containing the following files:

/dev/serial/by-id/usb-067b_2303-if00-port0 
/dev/serial/by-path/pci-0000:00:06.0-usb-0:2:1.0-port0


When I port this program to my Mac I get the same problem however there is a
"/dev/cu.usbserial" is added which works when I add it manually but it is
not included in the "System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.GetPortNames()" list. When I
try adding the "/dev/serial/by-id/usb-067b_2303-if00-port0 manually in Linux
version it doesn't work.  Help!!!!
