Does anyone know why the c# type "dynamic" does not work in mono c# REPL 2.8?

Enter statements below.
csharp> dynamic x = 4;
{interactive}(1,10): error CS8088: Your .NET Runtime does not support
``void' or
 `void*' field type'. Please use the latest Mono runtime instead.
