[Mono-dev] Mono executable working with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS ALTERNATE version?

Hello, please can anybody tell me if i can use the ALTERNATE version of
ubuntu to EXECUTE a mono project? My mono project is an executable without
any gui!
To develop the project i could use the the gui version of ubuntu.
