[Mono-dev] mono_string_length missing from mono embed api? (not exported)

Looking at the mono embed api documentation there should be (or was) a mono_string_length() method exported, but looking at the code, it no longer is?
Is this method deprecated or did it go missing per mistake and should it be re-exported?
