Regards this point just to say that we are currently working on it:
http://code.google.com/p/dblinq2007/ . DbLinq project mimics Linq2Sql, such
project has got two building modes: as DbLinq.dll (and independent ORM
project for .NET) and as System.Data.Linq.dll (same core, different
interface).

I don't know how they will be integrated to the Mono repository yet but
AFAIK Mono will reuse most of the code.
