[Mono-dev] Compiling Visual Studio Project files with Mono

I need a little bit of help. Is there a linux program that can read
Visual Studio project or solution files (.csproj or .sln) and execute
the mono gmcs compiler accordingly? I have searched the web and have
not found thing (that works).

Prj2Make seems to be defunt project and I could not get XBuild to
actually do anything. There is not a lot of information on XBuild
anywhere.
