I see your point.
I wrote "read the release notes" because IIRC Miguel has always
done a great job in summarizing the changes between major releases
directly in the release notes.
I mean, the 1.2 release notes summarized what was new since 1.1,
and so on.
Anyway, I just meant "let's not try too hard to give those numbers
a meaning other than 'this is the next [major|minor] release'".
What is actual in the release is documented, the user should read
that :-)
