[Mono-dev] Compiling from source

Hi,

I am trying to compile mono from source on a x86 machine. I have a custom
install of glib-2.0. I am trying to now build mono-1.2.4 but I receive this
error when I try to "make":

In file included from mono-hash.c:42:
../../mono/metadata/gc-internal.h:12:18: glib.h: No such file or directory

glib.h exists but in a custom directory. I've tried adding this directory to
my PATH, PKG_CONFIG_PATH, and the CFLAGS variable in the Makefile but
nothing seems to work. How can I point it to this file?

Thanks.
