Mono 1.2.6 recipes are now available in the OpenEmbedded repository.
If you are using the Angstrom 2007.1 distro, for now you must set:

PREFERRED_VERSION_mono = "1.2.6"
PREFERRED_VERSION_mono-mcs-intermediate = "1.2.6"

in your local.conf
