Thanks for updating.

Looks okay to me on first sight except for two minor things:
- "as" is called "gas" when using the system-installed one on Solaris 10
- on Solaris' default shell export A=b will not work (A=b; export A)  
[this is also an issue with mono-service]

And I still have to check whether the Boehm GC 6.8 or CVS HEAD  
actually fixes all issues. I backported changes from both 7.x/CVS and  
6.8/Bugzilla as well as adding my own hack for the stack limit.
