[Mono-dev] Mono 1.2: Directory symbolic links don't exist?

I noticed this too, see bugreport:
http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=79887

It breaks for example mcs and gmcs, it can't build sources anymore that
have a symlink in the path and the target can't also not be written to a
path that is symlinked.
