You probably can get information about SharpDevelop (#D) from http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SD/Default.aspx
Mono (Developer's Notebook)
by Edd Dumbill, Niel M. Bornstein
You can get this book new/used from amazon.com
Look at the source code of other gtk# applications. Look at gnome/gtk+ applications written in other programming languages. You should be able to find applications on http://www.gnomefiles.org/
Visit http://www.monodevelop.org / for more info. Subscribe to the monodevelop-list there (not the same has mono-devel-list).

Subject: [Mono-dev] Monodevelop, gtk# etc
Hey all,
Just wondering can anyone help me out with a few questions.
1. I'm looking for books/resources on development with monodevelop. I have found a few resources online but would appreciate more especially todo with stetic and the newest monodevelop.
2. I want to look into developing front-ends based on gtk# on mono for lower level applications. Say for example i want to write a front-end for traffic control on linux or mencoder. What is the common/best method for going about this ? And could anyone give a very simple example of how to go about doing this ? Maybe how to write a front-end for the 'ls' command and how to format the output back in a gui application ?
Thanks all very much.
Paul
