I'm assuming you mean attachment 16381 to bug 77323.  Nice to see a
workaround suggestion I made a month ago come back as a proposed fix:

I have attached a note to your vte bug report indicating why it should
be reopened despite the fact that a workaround exists for Gtk#.  

But since I'm getting really tired of wasting time on this issue, I have
decided to patch the gtk-sharp configure.in.in to add gtk+-2.0 to the
VTE_DEPENDENCIES pkgconfig check, which I suppose is a moderately less
hackish workaround.  It's on trunk revision 55928.
