[Mono-dev] ASP.NET MySql connection

It looks like your code is using System.Data.SqlClient, which is a TDS 
client, for use with MS SQL Server, NOT MySql.

Ensure that you are using the MySql.Data.MySqlConnection to connect to 
MySql.
