[Mono-dev] Building Mono from Source

Hi All,

I had previously written about a problem compiling Mono from source on 
Gentoo. I didn't get any responses, but I did come across the following 
posting:

which said to go into the libgc directory and run autogen. I did, but I 
got the message:

configure: error: This module is now part of `mono' and can't be built 
as a stand-alone module any longer.

I tried running autogen back on the mono directory again anyway, and it 
didn't change anything, so I'm hoping someone else has some insight into 
what the next steps would be. Thanks!
