[Mono-dev] Mon Compact Framework

Is there any work being done on creating a Mono version of the .NET 
compact framework for mobile development?  It would be very awesome 
to be able to develop applications targetted at WinMob5, J2ME, Palm 
and other handheld or PDA devices.

If no one has taken on this project facet, anyone know enough to 
comment intelligently on the scope along with what parts can be 
adapted easily from existing Mono and what would need to be written 
from scratch?
