[Mono-devel-list] Building Mono on Windows

Hi,

I am using Windows XP.

I installed the latest Cygwin.

I checked out the latest sources using
svn checkout svn://svn.myrealbox.com/source/trunk/mono

I executed
./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr/local

Then it requested me to uninstall the cygwin glib2-devel package so I
uninstalled it.

The I executed again
./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr/local

And I got the following error message:
configure: error: Package requirements (glib-2.0 >= 1.3.11) were not met.
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

glib-2 is installed by Cygwin setup.
I downloaded http://www.go-mono.com/archive/glib-2.0.4-20020703.zip and
unpacked it to C:\cygwin

But the error still appears.

How could I compile Mono?
What packages and how should I install?
What do I need to configure?

Thank for your help in advance.

Sincerely,
Kornél
