And the real reason noone even started implementing it is that
the pdb file format is not documented.
The MS people responsible for it don't even let other MS
programmers access the file format (for the official reason that
they may want to change the implementation, but the likely reason is
the same as for large part of proprietary sw: it either infringes 
on someone else work or it is crap:-).
