[Mono-devel-list] development of monodevelop: why? :P

I didnt post here because I couldnt find a plugin (I admit I didnt
try ;))
I posted here because I wondered (and still do) why there is
monodevelop.
Is there a ...technical reason... is it just for fun.. or just
because you dont like eclsipse.....or
I DONT KNOW :)
