[Mono-devel-list] Debugger References?

Hi,

I'm learning about debuggers for managed code, more specifically debugger backends and wanted to know if there are any references/books on how to design/implement debugger backends for windows/x86?

I tried hacking around the mono code on x86/windows with my basic understanding of software breakpoints, however the hacks that i did based on my limited understanding didn't seem to work!

Would somebody with an understanding of debugger backends on win/x86 be able to provide some guidance?
