How about just utilizing what Apache provides for free? What about running
mod_mono_server against
an embedded runtime?

I do have a feeling that there is some room for optimization, though. With
the mod_mono_server autostart
facility, the first ASP page does take a few seconds on my 800 Duron
(Debian Sarge, kernel 2.6). Also,
turning on "--trace" on the mod_mono_server invocation produces a
tremendous listing within just a few
seconds - why does it not just block (i.e. sleep) when there is nothing to
do?

Greetings
Winfried
