[Mono-devel-list] Mono 1.1.6 having problem compiling cairo

 I have downloaded and installed the new version of
Mono 1.1.6 to try on Solaris 9.  The version of
libgdiplus 1.1.5 that comes with it off the mono site
is having problems compiling.  After doing a
configure, I try the make.  I get the following
errors.

   cairo.c: In Function 'cairo_close_path'
   cairo.c:700: warning: visibility attribute not
supported in this configuration; ignored
   make [4]: ***[cairo.lo] Error 1
   make [4]: Leaving directory
'/export/home/root/mono1.1.6/libgdiplus-1.1.5/cairo/src'
   make[3]: ***[all-recursive] Error 1
   make[3]: Leaving directory
'/export/home/root/mono1.1.6/libgdiplus-1.1.5/cairo'

I have not found any information on how to correct
this yet.  Seems odd not to have any indication of the
error, but still searching.  Any ideas???
