[Mono-devel-list] How can Mono Existing if WinFX, Avalon, Indigio and Aero comes up with Longhorn and WinXP?

What was posted was a discussion as much as your guess/your opinion on
what the MS's next generation technology will be. Then you loosely tie
this with a vague implication that Mono sucks because its not quite Java
and not an MS product.

Exactly what part of your original message wasn't supposed to irritate
people?

"mono-devel-list" is mailing list to discus actual Mono development
features. So fine lets look at your list: Its all stuff that doesn't
exist anytime today. What is there to develop? What do you honestly
want Miguel and crew to do? Change a text file that is at best a guess
on future development written Nov 1, 2003.

Things change. Heck Microsoft changed their game plan deprecating some
of the technology mentioned on that old roadmap page. How is the Mono
Community supposed to play the vaporware game?

If you don't believe Mono is feature complete, please state what
technologies are missing TODAY. Not ones announced by Microsoft for
2005-6 because no one can run that stuff today. Or better yet instead
of running around chicken-little style, how about you start writing
code?

Tom Larsen

ps. Have you seen the Longhorn preview? It has too much stuff that half
works. It is no wonder why it is delayed and features are getting cut.
