[Mono-devel-list] patch for StringReader.Read() performance improvement

Hi,

This patch improves StringReader.Read() 8x to 10x faster.

(It is low-tech solution. Reduced function call and modified code
to be able to optimize ABCREM).

If no problem, I'll commit it later.
