[Mono-devel-list] Building current CVS fails

I've had that a couple of times and basically, I try either make
distclean then recompile. If that fails, ditch mcs and mono and do a
fresh checkout.

Okay, it's not the best way to do things, but it's one of the
simplest ;-)
