mono-0.31, the system is Mandrake 9.2. I am using gcc 3.3.1, and have glib and
pgk-config installed. ./configure works, make spits:

gcc -g -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -g -Wall -Wunused -Wmissing-prototypes
-Wmissing-declarations -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes
-Wnested-externs -Wpointer-arith -Wno-cast-qual -Wcast-align -Wwrite-strings
-o .libs/mono main.o -pthread -Wl,--export-dynamic
-Wl,--export-dynamic ./.libs/libmono.so /usr/lib/libgthread-2.0.so /usr/lib/libgmodule-2.0.so
-ldl /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so -lnsl -lpthread -lm -lrt -Wl,--rpath
./.libs/libmono.so: undefined reference to `___tls_get_addr'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [mono] Error 1

make[3]: *** [all] Error 2
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/cuco/mono/mono-0.31/mono/mini'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/cuco/mono/mono-0.31/mono'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/cuco/mono/mono-0.31'
make: *** [all] Error 2

reconfiguring without ntpl works. you may add this to your faq, and even fix
it :)
