[Mono-devel-list] Compiling Beta3 on Mandrake 10

I'm trying to compile the mono framework from the beta 3 release on Mandrake 10.0 Offical, and I'm running into the following error:
 
./genmdesc ./cpu-pentium.md cpu-pentium.h pentium_desc
./genmdesc: error while loading shared libraries: libicui18n.so.30: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
make[3]: *** [cpu-pentium.h] Error 127

I've got ICU 3.0 built from source and installed in /usr/local, and the configure script reconized it without any help.  Any idea why make is failing here?
