Hi mono developpers, and thanks for this great piece of work you have
been doing!

I am just writing here to let you know about a strange bug I found in
mono when installing beta-3 on my linux/ppc computer. I downloaded the
tarballs from the go-mono.com website.
Mono compiled and installed without complaining (I wasn't watching it,
so it might actually have complained, but nothing fatal). However, when
trying to execute mcs, I obtained an error about the System assembly not
being available. I searched for it, and it was installed okay, except
for the permissions on the file: only root had access to it...
So for those encountering the same problem:
$ cd /usr/local/lib/mono/
$ sudo chmod -R +x *

And mcs worked fine after that. Just thought I'd let you know...
(I saw a previous mail from somebody with the same problem, a
recompilation/reinstallation did it for him, not for me...)

If you have any question, please Cc: me since I am not subscribed to the
list.
