[Mono-devel-list] AMD64 version

Hi!

I've been following the mono development not very closely over the last few 
months, but now I want to port a small application (.NET webservice) to mono.
I'm running SuSE 9.0 (64 bit version) on an AMD Athlon64 and tried to compile 
the mono sources from cvs, as I could not get red-carpet-thing installed.. 

Unfortunately it seems that there is no support for the x86_64 platform 
included yet. 
So my question is if someone is working on a x86_64 port of mono (even if only 
32bit)?

BTW: In the next few months I'm planning to start my diploma thesis and I'm 
currently searching for ideas of what I possibly could be  doing. I'm 
interested in all things more or less related to compilers - anyone working 
on a mono amd64 JIT?
