Hello,
You might want to have a look at Cairo samples provided with
Cairo library. These are available from Cairo cvs server. But, I 
don't think that you can render from System.Drawing in that way.
Prolly, you can insert your rendering code at places inside libgdiplus
code. Needless to say, it is going to be an ugly hack.

Thanks for your reply Chris.
Gdk.Window is perhaps a solution but I'm looking for something simpler

without SWF and without gtk#.
I wonder if  it is possible to hack System.Drawing/libgdiplus/cairo to

directly render graphic primitives in a top level window.
anyone an idea please?
