This is a good question, and one I often find myself wondering about as
well.  I wonder if it would be possible to add a time stamp to each of the
status pages saying something like "Generated at 2004/08/30 16:04 (UTC)".

Those pages used to be generated with scripts found in CVS, but since the
new website was launched I'm not sure how it's done anymore.
