Actually, stub.cs (and monodocer.exe in /monodoc/tools) is meant to replace
everything in /monodoc/generator.  The files in /monodoc/generator may or
may not be producing valid monodoc XML files at this point - I've lost
track.

Monodocer.exe, the new tool, creates template files based on an assembly and
updates those files based on changes in the assembly.
