[Mono-devel-list] Trampolines

Can anyone point me to some resources on how trampolines work (in the
abstract)? I've looked at the mono source, but I can't understand the
architecture of the theory from that.

I'm not even really sure it's trampolines I want - that is how function
pointers (for platform invoke callbacks) work from the interpreter, is
it not?
