It also shows its DHTML heritage...
BTW, I think Avalon's XAML has already competition in Mono TODAY: just by
using Glade#/GTK# many C# developers could make a lot of what is shown in
Petzold's article
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/longhorn/default.aspx?pull=/msdnmag/issues/04/01/Avalon/default.aspx),
but surely the finer presentation/styling control resembles more XUL.
WinFS, looks a lot more promising, but dynamic sets are shamelessly similar
to Evolution vFolders. Other promises look somewhat more polished versions
of what ActiveX Structured Compound Files, and NTFS File Attributes promised
when launched...
