OK, the mono code now builds without error (although there are tons of
warnings.)

Problem I see now is:

/bin/bash ../../mkinstalldirs /usr/local/include/mono/utils
  /usr/bin/install -c -m 644 monobitset.h
/usr/local/include/mono/utils/monobitset.h
install: The -c, -f, -n options each require a directory following!
*** Error code 2
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target
`install-libmonoutilsincludeHEADERS'
Current working directory /mono/mono-0.24/mono/utils
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-am'
Current working directory /mono/mono-0.24/mono/utils
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-recursive'
Current working directory /mono/mono-0.24/mono
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-recursive'

The Solaris 9 'install' command is located in /usr/sbin/ not /usr/bin
(so I made a ln -s to /usr/sbin/install ...)

The command syntax is wrong. Would any lead/core mono project
developer like remote ssh 'r00t' access to see if they can get it to
work on Solaris?

At this point I would just about donate my machine - but I can't as it
is my only system -- what I can do is donate access to use it to build
a Solaris 9 version of mono.

Anyone??? Just promise not to store 'too much' pr0n on it :-)

It obviously would be better if there were already someone on this list
that has a Solaris 7/8/9 version of the mono project built and running
- but I haven't yet found anyone...

BTW - I am about the try to see about getting 'go-gnome' working to see
if that helps with building the gtk_sharp and related projects...

Cheers! :)
