Yes I sorted that bit about needing the dev packages, after running autogen.  
I got them installed but now the problem is it doesn't seem to recognize that 
gtkhtml has been installed, or gnomedb.
I have both libgtkhtml-dev (1.0.4-5.1) and libgtkhtml2-dev (2.4.1-1) 
installed, but it doesn't find them. (debian/testing)

Anyways, I have mod_mono working with apache 1.3 at last, so its just the docs 
I need to get active now.  Looking good.
