You installed .NET 1.1 I guess. I am going to check in a fix for this
build problem soon, but that will cause all people with version 1.0 to
have a similar but different build issue.

We are recommending all mono hackers to upgrade to 1.1 since it is
mostly bug fixes, enhancements, etc.  Mono will be targeting 1.1.
