My current feeling is that the stack trace containing the
System.Xml.Serialization namespace was just a case of this particular crash;
one not consistent throughout all of our crash logs. Perhaps this was an
unrelated crash. 

Our next steps will be to identify a set of crash logs and look for
similarities.

In addition, we will do our best to extract a test case.  Thank you for the
help.
