You are right. I think I got confused because input arguments were marshaled as
LPStruct. Also, current versions of the unmanaged code use strings and no GUID
structures, so the issue is no longer relevant.

It is perhaps not very helpful that the error does not contain much information
and occurs at run time, rather than at compile time.
