patch to save certificates and exception logs

Great :)

Since the errors (including the original one) occurs when building a chain the
attached patch* will trap any exception and write the certificate (binary) and
the exception (text) into two separate files (same name, different extension).

This will makes it easier for me to duplicate the issue and safer than trying
to keep the URL around (e.g. not sure if the app is multithreaded)

Simply attach the files to the bug report and I'll fix the issues as they come
up... until you can't find nothing more ;-) Thanks!

* feel free to edit where the files are created instead of the current '.'
