This bug has a patch from March, 2008 that has not been reviewed.

Rodrigo added a comment on November of 2011 saying that the runtime patch is no
longer required.

So is there any part of this patch that is still required?

I am moving it to "Normal" from "Major" as we no longer crash the VM
