That symlink is among the files packaged in the .pkg, which means that what's
happening here is OSX is choosing not to update that file (the symlink).  To
put it more bluntly this appears to be an Apple bug, not a bug in our
installer.  That being said I will see if I can work around it in the
postFlight script.
