I could not duplicate this using the latest MonoTouch. If MD picks up the
change then it calls mtouch which does not have separate code path for already
built components. There could be something stale (which I do not have locally)
or it could be related to other files (external libs?). Hard to say.

Could you supply the build logs (both the first LLVM that works and the
following, non-LLVM, that fails on the device). Also please provide the version
of MT that shows the issue. Thanks
