On my 3GHz machine a Treeview with 1e5 nodes (attachment) is created and drawn
in approx. 1 second on the 2.10 Windows mono implementation.
On Linux it takes approx. 6 minutes (!) to do that.
I've checked against 2.6.7, where it was done in below one second.
When using in my app for showing assembly structures, it drives the whole
system
(Linux) in an inoperatable state (other apps are not responding any more).
So i tend to see this as critical.
